Preventative Maintenance Program (PMP)

With our full maintenance management program, you will have access to our Preventive

Maintenance Program, (PMP). In most cases throughout the life of your aircraft contamination

and environmental corrosion will occur.


The contamination factor that is most often seen is due to some type of spill in the fuselage or

the buildup of microbial growth in the fuel bays. These repairs can be extremely costly with very

long downtime in some occasions leading to the financial demise of the airframe. We can

address these contamination factors by taking the following actions:


  • Management of the fuel treatment programs. This includes scheduled BioBore treatments, fuel system sumping to remove excess water from the fuel cells, and regular fuel system testing in accordance with the fuel treatment vendor's manual.
  • Periodical under-floor inspections of the lavatory area, where most major issues occur. The area will be cleaned if any type of contamination is found addressing minor incidents before they become major.


The environmental factor is greatly increased in tropical, or subtropical areas. This has the

biggest effect on the exterior airframe. Areas such as vertical aft spars, horizontal aft spars, flap

coves, wing aft spars, landing gear wheel wells, and all exposed airframe skins. We can

address the environmental factors by taking the following actions:


  • Exterior wet washes to reduce harmful build-up on airframe surfaces.
  • Cleaning of all aft spars and the proper application of corrosion-inhibiting compounds, CIC
  • Cleaning of all landing gear wheel wells and proper application of corrosion-inhibiting compounds, CIC
  • Freshwater engine rinses to aid in the prevention of engine corrosion. Engine corrosion repairs are costly and not covered by engine programs.
  • Treating, priming, and touchup paint off all exposed metal


Either of these factors can grow into a major issue if left unaddressed. With the Jet MTX PMP,

your aircraft will have a much lower chance of any major findings during scheduled inspections,

greatly reducing the opportunity for costly repairs and long downtimes.


NOTE: While complying with the Jet MTX Preventive Maintenance Program will greatly reduce

any chances of major findings during scheduled Inspections, it is not a guarantee. To maximize

the effectiveness of any PMP, it requires participation from all parties. We will comply with our

PMP programs when the aircraft is available to the Jet MTX team. When the aircraft is not with

us, it is incumbent on the operator to maintain at least standard levels of preventative

maintenance practices.
